AppWow Submission Requirements

AppWow's verification process is designed to be precise, fair, and fast. These requirements protect users and ensure every app on the platform is genuine, functional, and safe.

Technical Requirements

✓ Served over HTTPS — no exceptions
✓ Fully functional at the submitted URL
✓ Mobile-friendly and responsive layout
✓ Loads within a reasonable time on a mobile connection
✓ No broken pages, dead links or 404 states at submission
✓ PWA submissions should include a valid manifest file

Content & Usability

✓ Clear, honest purpose — users must understand what the app does immediately
✓ Usable interface with real functionality
✓ No placeholder or "coming soon" screens at the submitted URL
✓ No fake reviews, inflated ratings or misleading claims
✓ Content appropriate for a general audience unless explicitly restricted

Security & Safety

✓ No malicious scripts, trackers or data-harvesting without consent
✓ No redirects to harmful or unrelated destinations
✓ No deceptive behaviour that misleads users into actions
✓ No illegal content under UK or applicable jurisdiction

Not Accepted

Apps that fail verification

✕ Instant rejection

✕ Empty shells with no real function or content

✕ Spam traps or link-farm pages dressed as apps

✕ Apps that don't load or error immediately

✕ Misleading listings claiming features the app doesn't have

✕ Malware, phishing, or deceptive redirect flows

✕ Content that is illegal or harmful to users

✕ Apps served over HTTP (not HTTPS)
